Lights at the Lake
The lights at the lake is an annual holiday event held in early December where visitors can enjoy a dazzling light display throughout the entire park. Friends group members Rich Armstrong and Tim Kennell string lights and blow-ups around the campgrounds and beach area with the assistance of park staff.
The hard working members of the friends group and state park employees aren’t the only participants in the festivities. Sponsors are brought in to decorate campsites with their own personal style. Winners are chosen for first, second, and third place.
Pancake Dinner
The pancake dinner is an annual fundraising event where members serve pancake suppers to the visitors of the Lights at the Lake event. Visitors can gather at the meeting hall to enjoy a sense of community and good food.
Barktober
Barktober is an annual pet adoption event where visitors can bring their canine companions as well as adopt new ones.
